Practice Description
Steve's practice is concentrated in the employee benefits area. Since 1980, Steve has represented public and privately-held companies in all aspects of qualified retirement plans including profit sharing and pension plans and ESOPs; non-qualified deferred compensation plans; 403(b) and 457 plans; health and welfare plans; executive compensation arrangements; and individual and corporate tax planning with an emphasis on non-profit organizations.

From 1977 to 1980, Steve served as an attorney with the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C. in the Employee Plans Division where he engaged in all aspects of IRS administration and guidance in qualified retirement plan matters.

Steve is a frequent lecturer on issues concerning benefits and general tax matters. He has served as chair of the Employee Benefits Committee of the Cincinnati Bar Association.

Steve is listed in Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America. He has also been recognized by Law & Politics Media, Inc. as an Ohio Super Lawyer.

Community Involvement
