Richard Herndon is a partner of the firm and concentrates his practice on commercial real estate. He represents developers, mortgage lenders, real estate investors, businesses, and other entities holding real estate interests in connection with acquisitions, predevelopment due diligence matters, land use planning, entitlements, public financing, financing, dispositions, entity formation and all legal aspects of office, retail, industrial, residential, and mixed use projects. He represents lending institutions, borrowers, and investors with financing, structuring and documentation, as well as loan workouts and restructures. Rich also assists clients with structuring deferred transactions. Rich is a licensed Title Insurance Agent in Ohio.
Rich has been named in “Best Lawyers in America” since 2010 in the practice area of Real Estate Law and was named “Real Estate Lawyer of the Year” for 2014 in that publication. Rich has also been honored as a “Super Lawyer” in the Real Estate field by the publication “Ohio Super Lawyers”.
Rich received his B.A. in 1983 and his J.D. in 1986, both from the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio and American Bar Associations, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute, and Board of Executive Advisors for the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Roundtable. Rich is a past member of the Planning Commission for City of Madeira, Ohio and served as a past Board Member of Mill Creek Valley Habitat for Humanity.
